Catherine LeComte Lecce is an interdisciplinary artist, curator, and Program Manager at the Photographic Resource Center in Boston. Based in Burlington, MA, her work investigates themes of motherhood, identity, and feminist perspectives through photography and mixed media. She earned a BFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design and an MFA in Photography from Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
Her artwork has been showcased in numerous exhibitions across Boston and beyond. In 2024, she held a two-person exhibition, Reflections: Selfhood/Motherhood, at The Umbrella Arts Center, where she was the Winter/Spring Artist-in-Residence. Her curatorial projects include Matrescence at MassArt x SoWa Gallery and TEND at the Atlantic Wharf Gallery, reflecting her dedication to fostering diverse and underrepresented narratives in contemporary art. Catherine makes it a point to include photographers in her curatorial projects, supporting the medium and championing its role in storytelling and creative exploration.
Catherine was recently selected for the 2025 Creative Entrepreneurship Fellowship through the Greater Boston Arts and Business Council, recognizing her innovative approach to art and community engagement.
As the Program Manager for the Photographic Resource Center, Catherine oversees exhibitions, artist talks, and community events, championing the advancement of photographic arts. She is also the founder and Manager of the Burlington Micro Gallery, a mobile exhibition space committed to making the arts accessible through community engagement and innovative programming. The gallery, designed as a flexible, transportable space, removes barriers to access and fosters a deeper connection between artists and audiences. This innovative approach reflects her dedication to reimagining how and where art is experienced, further solidifying her role as a leader at the intersection of art and community.
